The Société Tunisienne d’Ophtalmologie kindly invited Dion Paridaens to be a keynote speaker at the 2024 edition of their Annual Meeting. The event was held in Tunis. He spoke about functional and esthetic eyelid surgery in two lectures and also acted as a moderator in an inspirational session with both French and English spoken presentations on oculoplastic surgery. The titles were: “Upper eyelid and medial canthal reconstruction” and “Lateral canthal fixation in transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty”.
Dr Paridaens, on behalf of ESOPRS, and Dr Mehmed Fendri, on behalf of AFSOPRS agreed that a partnership between both societies could benefit the collaboration regarding education and research and will work together and with the Councils of both Societies to establish such formal relationship.
